The lighting of the tarmac at the ABD - Airport Bozen Dolomiti - regional airport has to not only ensure that the demands concerning lighting uniformity, glare reduction and exact direction of light are met but also needs to comply with the safety guidelines and standards set out by airport and civil aviation authorities.
The 3 systems type BS with a lightpoint height of 16m are each fitted with 5 projectors type W01-1000W. In order to ensure and guarantee emergency lighting one of the projectors is fitted with a specially developed hot re-strike facility. The reflective mirror panels are each fitted with 121 ewoReflect (250mm x 274mm) freeform facets.
These systems allow us to uniformally illuminate an area of 50m x 160m achieving an average of 28lx.
