ewo implements large area LED lighting in Calcinate
ewo, a manufacturer of high-quality light systems for public areas, is for the first time using its “T-System” LEDs for large area illumination of a central traffic hub in Calcinate, Italy. iF award for ewo: product range "Up" excels in
Public Design category
ewo, manufacturer of high-quality lighting systems, has won the iF Public Design Award 2010 for its "Up"
product range. This award is internationally considered one of the most renowned design prizes. The
product range was developed in collaboration with the Norwegian design team, "Norway Says" and
encompasses lighting and furniture elements from bollards to bicycle stands through to a bench. The formal concept is carried throughout the range and enables planners to create an esthetically coherent cityscape,
something which also convinced the iF Award judging panel ...

ewoIndividual: ewoLED technology is showcased at the UN Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen
The international project “GOTHAM STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM” has enabled ewo, a manufacturer of high-quality lighting systems for public spaces, to realise an ewoIndividual project with certified LED technology for the first time. The specification of ewo lighting systems sets new standards in that the product fulfils norm EN13201for street lighting up to the highest classification of M1. The project for the Bella Center in Copenhagen was commissioned by the Danish Government with the mandate from the United Nations and was carried out together with the architecture firm 3XN and lighting designer, Steven Scott (Scotia Lighting). The LED luminaires can be seen in front of the congress centre during the UN Conference on Climate Change which starts on 7th December. The basis of the project and starting point for architects 3XN was to design a CO2 neutral street light. The project highlights the importance of the various items on the agenda at the UN Conference on Climate Change.
