General

ewo secondary reflector luminaires are the ideal solution for all public spaces such as public parks and squares, car parks and underpasses, railway stations and airports, roads, roundabouts and major intersections. Large interiors such as malls, plazas and concourses also look their best with ewo indirect luminaires.

What makes ewo secondary reflector luminaires so successful is easily explained. Firstly, they combine minimum energy consumption with maximum light quality, and secondly, the precision engineering of the reflector and light source ensures compliance with even the strictest light emission standards.

Benefits

1. Uniformity
The multiple varying radii geometry of the reflector optics ensures uniform illumination of the target area using every facet. This is the key to maximum efficiency for the operator and perfect lighting for the user.

2. Glare reduction within the beam angle
A patented directional control system (developed by Bartenbach Lichtlabor) is used to break down the primary light source into hundreds of individual points of light for distribution to the whole reflector surface.
This ensures that glare within the beam angle is kept to a minimum.

3. Glare control beyond the cut-off angle
The use of precision injection mouldings and the high specular finish of the reflector facets ensure zero scatter or stray light rays. The reflector surface itself is completely shielded.

4. Individual directional control
The combination of the angle of incidence and the position of the facets on the secondary reflector is the key to optimum directional control for every individual facet.

5. Light sources
The secondary reflector facets are designed for use with various primary reflector units. The luminaires can therefore be fitted with 70a / 2000 W Metal Halide Lamps.

Material

The secondary reflectors are precision-engineered from special plastics designed for outdoor applications. They have a specular faceted surface with a sealed aluminised finish for the underside.
The reflector supports are in aluminium or galvanised steel.
The mast arms are made from a special high-grade steel and the poles made from hot-dip galvanised steel.
The surfaces are given a polyester powder coated finish.
The housing for the primary light source is made of a rugged grade of aluminium.
The precision engineered reflectors are individually designed for the light distribution patterns required for the various applications. They are made from high-purity aluminium with a chemically shined and anodised finish.
Fully tempered high temperature glass, silicon gaskets and high-grade steel screw connectors are the key to a long and brilliant career for ewo secondary reflector luminaires.
