With 1,600 inhabitants and more than 11,000 guest beds, Ischgl is one of Austria’s most important tourist destinations. For much too long, however, there were hardly any places of retreat for the local people, meeting places for clubs and rehearsal rooms for Ischgl’s very active brass band. In 2013, all of that changed with the construction of a community cultural center.

Every two years it is a platform at which the industry presents its innovations in lighting, electronics, home and building automation and software for construction. The common theme is energy efficiency. Ewo will participate this year for the fourth time.

After two years of construction under the direction of the architects Delugan Meissl, the Festspielhaus for the Tirolean Festival Erl was inaugurated in December 2012. ewo developed a new form of luminaire for this cultural institution, which is both impressive and respectfully integrated into the landscape, a fixture that does not compete with the architecture.
