This card is a tool for making a wish.
For this year’s Best Wishes* card, the artist Linda Jasmin Mayer, who was born and raised in South Tyrol and is now based in Belgium, explored the theme of shooting stars—understood as a rare phenomenon of briefly illuminating, metaphorical lucky charms:
“This is a falling star: Dust and rock shed by a comet.
Hitting the atmosphere. Heating up and burning away.
Matter turning into energy... into light.”
The card was hand-printed in Gent, Belgium, by Linda Jasmin Mayer & Boothuis Brauhaus using the blind printing process.
