THE VIENNESE REICHSBRÜCKE — MODERNISING TRADITION
The efficiency benefits of LEDs meant that the luminaire for Vienna's "Reichsbrücke" bridge also had to be upgraded along with the other vintage luminaires located in the historic center. To this end, a Europe-wide procedure was held, from which ewo emerged as the best bidder.
The conversion to the new fixtures included a total of 316 fixtures.
The Viennese sphere lights of the famous Reichsbrücke are moulded from high-quality PMMA material, which allows the light to radiate evenly within the sphere, generating an effect of diffused and precise light. With their 850 mm diameter and 29 kg weight, the spheres are eye-catching from afar and are a distinctive feature of this historical bridge
